Osteoclast is a large multinucleate bone cell which absorbs bone tissue during growth and healing. Osteocyte or osteocell is a cell that lies within the substance of fully formed bone. It is a mature bone cell. It is derived from osteoblast. The osteoblast is a bone-forming cell. It is an immature bone cell.
