excessive stimulation of vagus nerve in humans may lead to peptic ulcer. The parasympathetic fibres of the vagus nerve (the tenth cranial) stimulate gastric and pancreatic secretions. Therefore, excessive stimulation of vagus nerve may lead to efficient digestion of proteins.
