An abnormal human baby with 'XXX' sex chromosomes was born due to : (1) formation of abnormal ova in the mother (2) fusion of two ova and one sperm (3) fusion of two sperms and one ovum (4) formation of abnormal sperms in the father

XXX conditon may arise in a human baby because of defects in meiosis 1 or meiosis 2 of gamete of mother or due to defects in meiosis 2 of gamete of father. Due to these defects the mother may have XX egg or father may have XX sperm. When these abnormal gametes fuse with normal gametes of opposite sex , the zygote formed will have XXX sex chromosome.
