Let the point of reflection be O.
The angle of incidence = angle of reflection
So, angle PSO = angle QS'O
The two triangles PSO and QS'O right angled triangle. These two angles are similar triangles here (Rule of mathematics )
Therefore ratio of sides should be same.
S'Q /SP= OQ /OP
1/4 = OQ /OP
OQ + OP = 12
By solving ratio OP = 9.6 cm and OQ =2.4cm
Answer is B
