It must be mentioned in which direction this body is accelerating within same direction or opposite parallel to it and in the first case of same directional velocities the body will follow a rectilenear path with its acceleration in the direction of velocityAnd in second case of opposite directions the body will first retard and then accelerate in th opposite direction
