Dear student,

The difference in frrequencies of tuning forks A and B is 5Hz. When B is loaded with wax, its frequency decreases and the new frequency again differs from A by 5 Hz. Hence intially the frequency of B must have been 5 Hz higher than that of A and later it must have been 5 Hz lower than it. Hence frequency of A is 512Hz-5Hz=507Hz.
