Expanding and squaring,
sin^2xcota+cos^2xtana=sin^2xcotb+cos^2xstanb
Rearranging and factorising,
sin^2x(cota–cotb)=cos^2x(tanb–tana)
On simplifying,
Tan^2x=tanatanb
