hi My son got 257 in BITSAT and 139 in JEE Mains.He wants to get only in IIT or Bits. He wants to drop one year and try again next year. we feel there are many good engineering colleges. Why only IIT or Bits.I also feel he may be bored doing the same again for next year. Please advise

Yes, you are right.. Students generally get bored studying the same syllabus again. But if he is motivated much, let him drop and give IIT next year.This year, with this marks, he will not be able to get IIT or BITS.If he is getting any NIT, then its cool. Make him understand that NIT is a good college too and there is no need to waste one year..Thanks
