X2 +Y2=2XY reaction was studied at a certain tempature. In the beginning 1 mole of X2 was taken in a one litre flask and 2 moles of Y2 was taken in another 2 litre flask. What is the equilibrium concentration of X2 and Y2 ? (equlibrium concentration of [XY] = 0.6 mol L -1 )

Final volume = 1+2=3 L

Initial Cocentration of

X2=1 mol/3 L

Initial Cocentration of Y2=2 mol\3 L

X2+   Y2↔    2XY

Initially      1/3.       2/3    0

At equil.   1/3-x       2/3-x      2x    ——-(#)

It is given that, 2x=0.6

So, x=0.3   ((put in (#)

Hence, correct answer is (1
