p-block elements constitute group 13 -18 of the periodic table.These all are called as p-block elements as their outermost e- enters in p-sub-shell.The general electronic configuration is- ns2np1-6.
d-block elements are also called as transition elements.There is transition from metallic to non-metallic character through these elements.They constitue group 3 to 12 of the periodic table.The general electronic configuration is as follows-
Noble gas] (n-1)d1-10ns1-2
