In becl2 there is weak back bonding that is 2Ppi 3Ppi due to which it is unstable .So in order to get stability it form linear polymers which are attached to each other in a long chain which are tetraherdal in shape which results it in solid form .While in case of becl3 the molecule does not form polymer so melting point of becl2 is higher than brcl3
