Hello Student
Nylon 66 is made of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid, which give it a total of 12 carbon atoms in each repeating unit, and its name.

Nylon 6 is is formed by ring-opening polymerization , i.e it contains 6 carbons so the same is nylon - 6.

Here first digit i.e. 6 in nylon66 represents the no of  carbon atom presents in hexa methyline diamine, and second 6 represents the no of carbon atoms in adepic acid.

In nylon 6 it contain 6 carbon
And in nylon 66 the 66 represent carbon atom present in its 2 monomer  first 6 for first monomer and second 6 for second monomer
