(1)p-dichlorobenzene has higher melting point than ortho and meta form.In case of para dichlorobenzene it has a symmetrical structure and dipole moment is zero,so it easily fits into the crystal lattice having high lattice energy.Thus the forces are strong and it has high melting point.
(2)Alkyl halides, though polar, are immiscible with water because they cannot form hydrogen bond with water
