Dear student,

From conservation of energy, work done on gas= Change in internal energy of the system

Hence\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2=nC_V\Delta T=\dfrac{m}{M_0}C_V\Delta T

\implies \Delta T=\dfrac{M_0v^2}{2C_V}=\dfrac{0.04\times 200^2}{2\dfrac{5}{2}R}\implies \Delta T=\dfrac{M_0v^2}{2C_V}=\dfrac{0.04\times 200^2}{2(\dfrac{5}{2}R)}=\dfrac{320}{R}^{\circ}
