Dear Student,
As adsorbtion involves d attraction of molecules of the adsorbate on d adsorbant,energy is released.Thatz y heat of adsorbtion is alwyz --ve i.e. adsorbtion is an exothermic process.Further heat evolved in physical adsorbtion is lower than chemical adsorbtion becoz in former there r stong forces of attraction while as in latter weak vander waal's forces exist..!!!!
