Dear student Oxidation of aniline occurs forming nitrosobenzene. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrosobenzen. caros acid is nothing but peroxy sulphuric acid. Instead, if we just use H2SO4, sulphonation occurs Hope this will help Good Luck .
