A reaction in which both oxidation and reduction takes place simaltaneously is called redox reactions.
Flourine is the only halogen which does not undergo disproportionation reaction because it shows only -1 oxidation state(For an element to undergo disproportionation reaction, it should have atleast three oxidation states).
