(60) does not have "superaromatic" or even aromatic character, but is a spherically π antiaromatic and enormously strained species. This explains its very large and positive heat of formation (610 ± 30 kcal mol(-1)).

Dear student
C60 is thought to be superaromatic but it is not So. This is because of poor delocalization of P-orbital electrons all over 20 hexagonal rings and 12 pentagonal rings. Since all P-orbitals can not be parallel in C-60 because of it's shape, it causes in significant delocalization unpaired electron in P orbital of each carbon. C-60 in many ways it reacts similar to that of Normal Alkene.
