1LiAlH4 always reduces carbonyl system(conjugated carbonyl or not conjugated)
2 CC pi bond only reduced in cinnamic system.Ph-C= 2 groups. In other case CC pi bond is never reduced.
3Benzene group is never reduced by LiAlH4
NaBH4 has slight different reaction properties .It only reduces CHO,CO,COX,COOC(anhydride) . It never reduces Carboxylic acid, Ester and CC pi bond whether conjugated with Ph, allyl or not conjugated.
