Entropy is the degree or measure of disorderness of particles.

For example, if the gaseous particles are put in a vessel and it is closed then they remain in shape of container i.e their entropy is less and when the container is opened then all the gas particles escape to atmosphere and hence thrie entropy increases.

It can be related to stability by the statement "WITH THE INCREASE IN ENTROPY STABILITY INCREASES"

Hence it is favourabe for a reaction to proceed in forward direction with increase in entropy.
