i'm under a confusion because my reasonings say that benzoic acid is stronger but i've read that formic acid is strongest... so wich is actually correct? plz elaborate and give the reasons why the acid is stronger?

Benzoic Acd is the stronger acid when compared to Formic Acid !!

The C₆H₅- group is an electron withdrawing group(EWG) & it stabilises the acid more than Formic Acid which does not ...

when the h of formic acid is lost backbonding resonace takes place which is more stable than pi bonding resonance
