TERT BUTYL ALCOHOL FORMS T-BUTYL CARBOCATION  WHICH GETS SUBSTD AT ORTHO TO THE METHYL  GROUP OF P-METHYL CUMENE. DUE TO STERIC REASONS SUBSTN DOES NOT TAKE AT ORTHO TO ISOPROPYL GROUP
