Dear Anuj, Let firstly that both charges are placed at distance ‘d’ without dielectric So, force b/w them = q 2 /4​ π ε 0 d 2 Now we shift them towards each other at distance t Keeping for constant so now F = q 2 eff /4​ π ε 0 t 2 It comes out q eff = q(1-t/d)

Now simply put dielectric b/w 2 charges having charge q eff = q(1-t/d) located at distance t use formula q 2 eff /4​ π ε 0 ε r t 2 ε r = simply 3k/4 as it is varing linearly
