find the values of a for which one root of the equation (a-5)x^2-2ax+a-4=0 is smaller than 1 and other greater than one

this statement means 1 is lying between the roots solve f(1)<0 where a>5
(a-5)-2a+a-4<0
-9<0 for all a>5
now if a<5 then f(1)>0 thats not possible so finally a>5 is answer
