momentum will be conserved..
in North-South direction, 
Pi = MU sin(@) - MU sin(@) = 0..
so, pf = 0

in East direction:
let final Velocity = V
pi = of
=> MU cos(@) + MU vos(@) = 2MV 
=> V = 2MU cos(@) / 2M = U cos(@) = U√3/2
