Body is in stable equilibrium neither x1 nor at x2
Stable equilibrium is one where if body displaced will come back in its initial position.

For equilibrium, dU/dx=0=-F.
=> Fdx=dU
=>-x1x2 Fdx=∫dU =0
=>F(x1-x2)=0
=>x2=x1
The body was initially in x1
It was given some force the it went to x2,(x2=x1)
If it has come back to x1, x1 must be stable equilibrium.

therefore,  x1=x2 is stable equilibrium
