Dear student,
Can you please put up the figure for the question. The particle would continue to move in the downward direction at each collision as the collision wont be perpendicular on the wedge. So, we need to know the length of the wedge and the depth of the lowest point of the wedge with respect to the point from where the particle has been dropped.
