Dear student

x be speed of man
y be speed of river
let d be the distance

(x+y)2.5= (x-y)5
x= 3y
So, d/4y = 2.5
And d/2y= 5

Now y becomes 2y
Downstream, d/5y = 2 hours,
And upstream d/y= 10 hours
