See, if both the ends are moving with the same velocity under some force, then the velocity of the center of mass would be zero. Therefore, the spring will just stretch, won’t move. So I don’t think there can be any general expression for KE. 
But if one end is fixed, then the question can proceed. In that case, we’ll have to find the net force acting over it.
