A 1 kg block B rests as shown on a bracket A of same mass . Constant forces F1 = 20 N and F2=8N start to act at time t=0 when the distance of block B from pulley is 8m what is the time when block B reaches the pulley please tell me where i am doing wrong?????

Relative acceleration between block and bracket is 4m/s^2
...Now we can use second equation of motion from where we got t=0.5sec

Total distance=0.5m

Net Force=12N

so force exerted by the wall on the string of the pulley=12N

so force exerted on block b=12/2=6N

so acceleration =6/1=6m/s^2

u=0

so dist=1/2at^2

0.5=3t^2

so time taken0.4 sec           (ans)

T= F2=8N

F1-2T=1*a

so a=4m/s^2

so distance =0.5m

so,   0.5=1/2at^2

so, t^2=0.25

t=0.5sec   (ans)

here, T=tension
f1=20N         f2=8N
