the given square metal plate had a section removed. the com of the original plate was at the origin. what is the com of the remaining section of the plate?

Dear Eshita,
The new CM would depend on the exact coordinates of the triangle. Basically once you have the coordinates you can calculate it's centroid and that is where the CM of triangle is, say it is (x1,y1). Then also calculate the area to calculate the mas of triangle, say it is M1. Figures coordinates say are at (x0, y0) and mass is M0 then
(x0, y0) = -M1 (x1, y1) / M0
