Write the structures of (CH3)3 N and (Me3Si)3 N. Are they isostructural? Justify your answer.

(CH3)3 N and (Me3Si3) N are not isostructural, the former is pyramidal while the latter is trigonal planr. Silicon has vacant d orbitals which can accommodate lone pair of electrons from N (back bonding) leading to planar shape.
