actually there is a not in the ques. newland is associated with the periodic table..

Not only Newland is associated. We have lother meyer curve which shows that
atomic volume = atomic mass/density of elements. This is also a contribution to the periodic table as we can study chemical properties of elements.
From the atomic volume curve  Meyer observed that elements having similar chemical properties occupy similar positions in each part of the curve.
EX: Halogens (F,Cl,Br) having similar chemical properties are present at similar positions. They are present in same group.
So from this we can conclude that Lother meyer also contributed to periodic table.
So Newlands and Lother Meyer gave contributions to the periodic table.
