Each shell hs some energy to tarnsmit and absorb.
The inner orbitals shells have lower energy as compare to the outer shells.
All the subshells therby have defined from nohr's postulate as K,L,M,N,.....
So repulsion is obvous would be there as on exceeding the energy level an atom can excite or absorb in its own way.
