Alkyl flourides is best synthesised by heating alkyl chlorides/bromide in presence of metallic flouride[AgF].. this is swarts rxn..

Swarts reaction : It is one of the best rxn. to produce fluoroalkane. When alkyl chloride / alkyl bromide is heated in presence of metallic fluoride ( such as AgF, Hg2F2, CoF2 etc ), alkyl fluoride is produced. In this rxn, we should apply the metal fluoride having a heavy metal, as AgF, Hg2F2 etc. But if metal flouride as NaF or KF is used, yield of the rxn will decrease.

3R-X + SbF3 ----→3RF + SbX3 ( when alkyl bromide \ chloride is treated with metallic fluoride like CoF2 , SbF3 AgF etc It forms alkyl fluorine

Dear student,
Please find the attached solution to your problem below.

Hope it helps.

HEY FRIEND
Swarts fluorination is a process whereby the chlorine atoms in a compound – generally an organic compound, but experiments have been performed using silanes – are replaced with fluorine, by treatment with antimony trifluoride in the presence of chlorine or of antimony pentachloride.
