HI ANKITA!!

ok...
let metal ‘M’ WHOSE mass is 12 * x (where x is the valency factor)
random equation ...(of course corresponding to question)
2M + xCl2 -------> 2MClx (after balancing)
now,
do unitary method to find the mass required to get .475g of chloride
2 ( mclx) required 2m
therefore .475g requires how much??
(how much is the answer)
substituting:
2( 12x + 35.5x) gives 12x
therefore .475g requires how much?
how much(lol) = 24x/95x * .475 = .12g

that is the ans...hope this helps!!
will be sure to help if clarification is required!!!
