The poisonous element M may be As. So on the basis of the given facts,
AsCI3 + 6H \overset{Zn/H_{2}SO_{4}}{\rightarrow}AsH3 + 3HCI
(N)
2AsH3 \overset{\Delta}{\rightarrow}2 As + 3H2
(M)
Hence M = As; N = As H3
