Half of propanoic acid gets neutralized.
Hence for a mol of propanoic acid a/2 mol left.

4.87 = -log[H+]
-log((ka * CH3 – CH2 – COOH)/(CH3COO-)) = 4.87
On solving we get,
Ka = 10^-4.87/2.
