Dear sumit,

                (1)if ΔI.P.> 16 e.v. then lower oxidation will be more stable

                 (2)if ΔI.P.< 11 e.v. then higher oxidation will be more stable

 in case of transition metals  ΔI.P.> 16 e.v so lower oxidation state i.e +2 becomes more stable
