Sir can you explain reason 4. I thought it was option 4 because when boat move to adjust center of mass will the boat+man system continue moving backward since there is no force to oppose the motion of boat since wate provides no friction.

Rearwards of its initial position and stationary (assuming it was initially stationary in the still water also, which was not stated).
Reason is the man initially rises, which has no effect on the position of the canoe horizontally.
He accelerates and moves to the other end, which causes the canoe to move in the opposite direction to the man's acceleration.
He then brakes to a stop at the other end, which stops the canoe moving, as the forces due to the accelerations balance, even if the accelerations were different.
He sits down, again no effect on canoe motion horizontally.
