Yes, The no. of same category students befor your AIR will get their preferred choice then on your turn you’ll get according to your preferred seat from category seats

Yes exactly, the counselling rounds are conducted as per the rankings of the candidates and accordingly the institutions are offered.....but you never mentioned your score or rank!! anyway...you can keep an eye on counselling rounds and make out as per your rank whether you are able to be there or not...if not, then go for a second option, try to locate some renowned institutions where admission can be sought.....I may suggest to try at – College of Engg and Tech, Bhubhneshwar,.........Lovely Professional Uni, Phagwara,...........Gaya College of Engg, Gaya….…....Nirma Uni, Ahmedabad
