ROH + CH3MgI⟶ --------> CH4 + MgROI
 
22400mL of CH4 produced at STP
 
= 1mol of ROH
 
1.12mL of CH4 produced at STP = 1.12
 
/ 22400= 5×10−5 mol
 
Now molecular mass of ROH = 4.12×10^-3 /5*10^−5
 
∴ mol mass of ROH=82.4.
