At B after doing components of velocity in horizontal and vertical direction we get,

vx = vcos50 and vy = vsin50 respectively.

Hence change in velocity in x and y direction respectively are =>

Vx = vcos50 – 0

and

Vy = vsin50 – v => v(sin50 – 1)

Net Velcity from vector addition,

Vnet = Vx + Vy

Hence,

Vnet = v(sin50 – 1 + vcos50)

In viewing through a magnifying glass, one usually positions one's eyes very close to the lens. Does angular magnification change if the eye is moved back?
