Here,"g" stands for acceleration due to gravity..On Earth Value of "g" is 9.8 m/s^2

g is the accelaration of a freely falling body due to earth''s gravitational attraction.

g is the accceleration with which an heavy mass body attracts a comparitively lighter body towards itself.

the acceleration with which earth attracts bodies(that obey newtons laws of motion. and not like electrons which follow quantum mechanics) is called g.
