Are the electric field lines necessarily the trajectory of a charged particle in motion?

Yes, The electric field lines are the trajectory of a test charge kept near the charge under observation. Due to the electric field of the charge, the test charge experiences force and starts accelerating. The trajectory it forms is said to be as the electric field lines.
