why voltage same in parallel circuit and changes in series

In parallel circuit, since the product of Current and resistance/impedance is fixed in all the parallel branches, therefore the volate (=IR) is same. While in series the current is same in the two or more resistance/impedance but the value of resistance/impedance may or may not be same.
