In an ac circuit the current is given by i=0.5sin(314 t +60 degrees) milliampere. Then peak to peak value of current is-
  1. 0.5A
  2. 1.0A
  3. 0.5ma
  4. 1.0mA Please explain also please.

i = (0.5) sin (314 t + 60\degree ) mA
Peak value of ac current means maximum value of  i = (0.5) sin (314 t + 60\degree ) mA, which occurs when
sin (314 t + 60\degree ) is maximum. We know that maximum value of sine function is 1.
\therefore peak value of current is i0 = (0.5) . 1 mA = 0.5 mA
