i = (0.5) sin (314 t + 60 ) mA

Peak value of ac current means maximum value of i = (0.5) sin (314 t + 60 ) mA, which occurs when

sin (314 t + 60 ) is maximum. We know that maximum value of sine function is 1.

$\therefore$ peak value of current is i₀ = (0.5) . 1 mA = 0.5 mA
