A hollow metallic sphere of radius r1 has charge q1 and a solid metallic sphere of radius r2 has charge q2. If they are connected with a wire what will be the common potential??. In previous reply you wanted to know about the releation between r1 and r2 Vikas TU There is no releation given between r1 and r2. Infact I am uploading an Attachment – Questin no.- 54. But it is in Bengali language.

Dear student
According to Gauss’s law, the electric field between a sphere and a shell is determined by the charge q 1 on a small sphere. Hence, the potential difference, V, between the sphere and the shell is independent of charge q 2. For positive charge q 1, potential difference V is always positive.
Hope this helps
Good Luck
