The alkyl groups often tend to rearrange.This is bcz Friedel Crafts alkylation involves formation of carbocation electrophiles which undergo rearrangement before attacking benzene ring.

Eg. Benzene+n propyl chloride--->isopropyl benzene+HCl

The product is isopropyl benzene and not n-propyl benzene

Dear student
You are right since friedal craft alkylation involes carbocation mechanism hence it has a tendency to undergo rearrangement via 1,2-hydride shift in order to generate stabler carbocation.
