Sir, what was the earlier credits requirement for a B.Tech degree from the IITs?

The earlier credits requirement for a B.Tech degree from the IIT Delhi was 180. Now, the number of requirement of credit is 140. The number of courses are same. The only thing that change is the structure of courses which lead to decrease in the number of credits per course.
